The end of May signals the start of summer. Just days away, and school year ending makes youngsters happy. You could say it’s play time on steroids for a bunch of children with a variety of outdoor activities. We want to make some easy smart and healthy suggestions to avoid the run down and burnout effect.

Instead of reaching for mindless less than healthy snacks of processed sugary snacks that will lead to afternoon crash, why not focus on getting some “Good Fruit Energy”. Fresh whole fruits packed with natural sugars, vitamins, and high water content works best.

  1. Keep bowls of sliced watermelon, strawberries, and grapes in the fridge

  2. Frozen bananas and berries are great icy treats opposed to heavy ice cream

  3. Put sliced lemons, oranges, or cucumbers in water with ice for a refreshing
    beverage
